SW DeKalb took it to the champs in a 26-0 victory. Now on back-to-back weeks, the Panthers have been the 2008 champ and runner-up <span style="font-weight:bold;">(Marist)</span>.<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.ajc.com/sports/high-school/southwest-dekalb-shuts-out-179586.html">Atlanta Journal Constitution</a> reports that SW DeKalb's defense shutdown Tucker's high power running game. Tucker came in averaging 260 yards a game. For the fourth time since 2002, America's winningest football program will be searching for a new head coach.<br /><br />Earlier this week, <span style="font-weight:bold;">Rick Tomberlin</span> <a href="http://www.ajc.com/sports/high-school/valdosta-high-will-not-163252.html">was informed that he won't be brought back for next season</a>, although he will finish the season as the Wildcats head coach. Last weekend, Valdosta suffered a huge 57-15 loss to crosstown rival <span style="font-weight:bold;">Lowdnes</span>.<br /><br />Tomberlin, who led <span style="font-weight:bold;">Washington County</span> to three state titles, is currently 19-20 with the Wildcats, which included a 1-9 record in his first season in 2006.
